The Tattered Teddy was inspired by an Alabama Baptist article about a little girl clutching a tattered teddy after a tornado hit in Chalybeate Springs, Alabama. The aim of the book is that it be used as a tool to help children dealing with the loss and emotion that follows a tornado. Included in the book are printable crafts for the children to make.
